"Freakin' Cute Girls" are a dime a dozen. If I were a young man, I would ask, What percentage of them
have a brain? How many of them see
beyond their own image in a mirror?

How many can be coaxed to read a
two-page 'History' Post...and then
involve themselves in an exciting,
informative discussion or debate?

Is This A Challenge? You betcha!

Comment? Record a first name, and
your hometown. (Keep it civil, girls!) reb

Six Fine Young Ladies!

You will notice how quickly your mature response forced a different tone from this old rascal!

It is heart-warming to know that
I've bridged the decades, and sent
a solid message that resonates with
your young group! I'm so grateful.

Our President has demonstrated great integrity and resolve in the
face of brutal criticism from those
that seek to undermine his best efforts to protect and serve. We all backed FDR in WWII, and a suicidal Iran is
hoping to bring about a Nuclear War
to fulfill an ancient prophesy of
the 12th Imam. How many here know this?
How many really do support our all-volunteer troopers in combat...and
their families praying at home?

Please help us spread this History
Lesson. Petty politics must not be
allowed to cloud Logic & Reason.reb

Holy cow...
Not all blogs are vehicles by which one bestows the Internet with one’s political, social or religious beliefs, no matter how articulate or intelligent one feels those beliefs are expressed.
Some blogs are just for fun.
It is easy to stir things up on the Internet, for to whom does one answer? The faceless Internet? Once the drama ensues, the viewpoints are strongly announced, the insults are flung, who is the person to care?
As for who is the person... it is also easy to claim to be anyone from anywhere, easy to be an 81-year-old man from Tennesse... who can prove differently? The faceless Internet?
I’m not implying that the comments by ‘snake hunters’ were awful; they were simply inappropriate. For to force one’s beliefs and opinions upon a fellow blogger with no invitation, to try to take another’s moment and turn it into a political soapbox, to make assumptions about with what one should be concerned or with what one is or is not concerned... well, that is inappropriate.
One need only to read a blog to discover that it is – or is not – a political blog.
It ain’t rocket science.
And anyone who is 81 years old should be old enough to know the difference.
I’m just sayin’...
Some blogs are just for fun; a necessary diversion in my book.
Keep up the excellent writing, Chelle Belle.

Well, we have become accustomed to
critical analysis before, and we
invite More, not less of it.

My single regret is the "Anonymous"
critic lacks specificity, so this
old 'intruder' wishes to involve him in Active Analysis on the most vitally important issue facing our nation. I do not wrap my views in
'animus' or anonymity.

I fear Inattention. I fear the Ignor-ance. I fear a population that over-indulges in "Fun" and ignores a world-wide Peril. I do not have any personal financial goal, or political agenda.

I have Grand-kids, and I want them
to share in our unique blessing of Liberty & Freedom of Expressions. Read the 1st Amendment! Read James Madison & Tom Jefferson.

Join in, Identify yourself! But be factually certain before rendering
harsh judgement. I believe Snake Hunters has a solid basis in Factual Data.

So, in confidence I say,
Welcome New Friend! Identify!

CHELLE: Thank You! Read response to your Excellent Comment on our
'History' Post. There's more solid info for your group. reb

Directly to: 'Holy Cow/Fan'

Certainly, I would prefer to address your obviously sincere and thoughtful presentation in defense of 'light banter & fun', with a more appropriate and dignified moniker, or just initials if you
prefer to remain anonymous.

YOUR intrusion into a meaningful dialog... I deem to be quite within the bounds of blogger propriety, for that is what blogs & Commentin' is all about. It's Internet at its very best!

I view myself a twin; both an Instructor, and a Student. We all give and receive, for knowledge is ubiquitous, and none is too old to learn. If any respondent were ever to sojourn by Oak Ridge Tennessee, I'll buy the Starbucks Coffee. reb
