Partially Pictorial

Finally! A few minutes to really blog and not just post pictures....

First off, I cannot, CANNOT, wait for Thanksgiving break! I have a week and three days until I can head home and spend some quality time with the family. I was able go home a couple of times in the last few weeks for the evening, but it's just not the same, and I didn't get to make the rounds to see everyone. This coming week is going to be very easy...no major happenings in class- just a couple meetings and some volunteering. I have a biochem exam a week from tomorrow, so I will probably study that a bit, but that is the only concern for the next ten days.

The last month or so has been jam packed, resulting in the pictorial posts due to my lack of quality blogging time. However, I have been racking up lots of things to share and now seems like a good time....

~Andy and I have been seeing each other a lot lately...with his classes in GR, I thought we wouldn't see much of each other, but happily, not the case. He signed up to play intramural flag football with some of his buddies this semester, so he came up for several games during the weeks of the season. Today was their championship; after a tough battle in a blizzard, the boys came home champions. All of the girlfriends, "the cheerleaders" we call ourselves, were there for most, if not all, the games, rain or shine, and today was no exception. It was a lot of fun to watch, and intramural basketball starts next semester for them...can't wait!

Lots of snow...brr!!

~Andy and I have also been spending pretty much every weekend together, either here or in GR. One weekend, we decided to plan a little fall-fun activity. We went to a farm outside of GR, near Fruitridge. The farm is famous for its 15 acre corn maze and hayrides. (www.fruitridgehayrides.com) It was pretty gray and cloudy, but the rain held off and not many people were there. We did the giant corn maze which had a game hidden in the trails to see if you could find all the markers (we did). After we made our way out, (it was a little flooded near the end, so we had to get creative with the trails), we bought two apples, fresh from the orchard, and hopped on a horse-drawn wagon for a ride. It was a really fun day...something to definitely make a tradition of!

In the orchard...

In the maze....

~Megan and Diana were able to come stay with me one weekend too. It had literally been three months since we were together last...too long! We went out to dinner, had some drinks and had some people over. It was really nice to catch up...amazing how much goes on in only a couple months.
Being goofy...

~I had my P.A. school interview on October first. I still haven't heard anything, and I am about to lose my mind. The last date I would find out is Christmas, but I pray I don't have to wait that long.

~I went shopping in GR this weekend with Andy....knocked out several people's Christmas presents...Nope, not telling you what they are.

~Classes are going well...Pretty sure I will end the semester with all A's and B's....just barely clinging to that B for biochem though- that may be a close one. I am really looking forward to the Christmas break...already started playing Christmas music (shush-I don't want to hear it...I know, mom, you raised me better than this...) I am super super SUPER excited too, because the last Friday of my exam week, Andy and I, and his friend Ryan, and his fiance, Anne, are going to Boston for the weekend! I have never been and would looooooove to see the city in the winter!

I think that about covers it....now I will probably have to go back to pictorial posts- just for a little while.

Happy Halloween!

Oh how I love Halloween! Last night we all got dressed up, had some people over and went out. There were a ton of really great costumes and it was a blast to see everybody all dressed up!

The Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion

Dorothy joins the party....just missing our Tin Man. I sewed all the patches, buttons and straw for Andy's costume...I feel so handy!!

*besties*

All the roommates plus our friend Sarah....hodge podge of characters

Nothing was broken, nobody got hurt and everybody had a great time....I'd say the evening was a success!
