Wednesday morning, we got up, got dressed and headed 2.5 miles downtown to see the Holocaust memorial...in 100 degree weather...ooo baby, it was HOT. However, the memorial was breathtaking...well worth the walk.
After a little more sightseeing, we headed back to the hotel, checked out and hopped in the car. We made our way to the train station in Connecticut. We took the train into NYC so we didnt have to mess with parking our car or drving through the city.
We arrived at Grand Central Station and took a taxi to our hotel. We checked in, cleaned up and headed out for some dinner. We walked to a place called the Brooklyn Diner...BEST FOOD EVER. I had spaghetti and meatballs....the BEST spaghetti I have ever had; I swear there was crack in the sauce because I just couldn't stop eating it.
After dinner, we walked down to Times Square. I couldn't believe how bright it was and how packed with people it was. Our hotel was only two blocks from Times Square, so we took the quick walk back to go to bed....early start and a lot planned for the next day.
